Upcycled Fence Board Raised Planter Beds

I love to garden, and and easy way for us to have all the fresh veggies on hand is to have raised beds in my back yard.  We took some old fence boards from when we replaced out fence, and turned them into planters.

Here is a little video tour of the garden.

We even took the 4x4 posts to make the frame work for the beds.   Cut a section of to make a right angle to slide the boards to make create the rectangular beds.

I love that we were able to turn trash into something useful that we use everyday to help grow amazing veggies for my family.

The beds are 4 fence posts tall, and for some we even added in a little lip of a top board to frame it out.

  1. What a great idea, and would be pretty easy to make. We recently moved to our what we call our retirement home, but really don't have a good place to till up a garden because of sprinkler system. Can't wait to show the hubby this idea. Thanks for sharing! Pinning!
